Privacy Policy

Overview

This privacy policy applies to the Banko app and web experience, referred to here as the Application. Banko was created by Bryan Adams, referred to here as the Service Provider, as an ad-supported game. The Application is provided as is.

This policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how to contact the Service Provider with privacy questions or requests.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information you choose to provide while playing, including player names or nicknames, game settings, scores, turn state, and game join codes. The Application may save your player name locally on your device or browser so you do not have to re-enter it.

When you use online multiplayer features, game data is stored with Firebase Cloud Firestore so players can create, join, and continue games across devices.

The Application and third-party services may automatically collect technical information, including IP address, device or browser information, operating system, app interactions, diagnostics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, ad interaction information, and purchase or subscription information if paid features are offered.

The Application does not collect precise location from your device.

The Application does not require account creation.

How Information Is Used

• To operate the game, including online multiplayer and invite links.
• To remember your local player name preference.
• To display ads and support the ad-supported version of the Application.
• To manage purchases or subscriptions if paid features are offered.
• To diagnose crashes, improve stability, and maintain the Application.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect the Application from misuse.

Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information according to their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob
• Google AdSense and Google advertising services
• Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• RevenueCat

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information as required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or with trusted service providers who help operate the Application.

Ads, Consent, and Privacy Choices

The Application may show ads through Google advertising services. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, users may be shown a Google-certified consent message that asks for choices about cookies, local storage, personalized ads, and related data processing.

You can also manage ad personalization and advertising identifiers through your device, browser, or Google account settings. Some privacy laws may treat personalized advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activity even when no money is exchanged for personal information.

The Service Provider does not sell personal information for money. To ask about opting out of personalized advertising or to make a privacy request, contact bryankeltonadams@gmail.com.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local preferences, such as your saved player name, remain on your device or browser until you clear app data or uninstall the Application. Online game data is retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate multiplayer games and maintain the Application. Crash, diagnostic, and advertising data may be retained by third-party services according to their own policies.

To request deletion of user-provided game data, contact the Service Provider at bryankeltonadams@gmail.com. Include the game code and player name if available so the request can be located.

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or opt-out of certain processing of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise a privacy right, contact bryankeltonadams@gmail.com. The Service Provider may need enough information to verify and locate the request, such as a game code, player name, device, platform, or purchase information.

Children

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, contact the Service Provider so appropriate action can be taken.

Security

The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards to protect information processed and maintained by the Application. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Application after an update means you accept the updated policy.
